主要從事2D&3D圖像和視頻處理、計算機圖形學、計算機視覺、多媒體、智能信息處理、人機交互等領域的研究工作,從事的研究課題包括圖像和視頻適應、立體三維圖像處理、多媒體質量評估、媒體顯著度分析和視頻交互等。在若干國際頂級期刊和會議上發(fā)表論文,包括ACM Transactions on Graphics、IEEE Transactions on Multimedia、IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology、IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics、IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems、Neural Networks、SIGGRAPH ASIA、IEEE CVPR、IEEE ICCV、ACM CHI、IJCAI等,共計發(fā)表和錄用論文40多篇,獲得一項美國專利。2013年獲得國際頂級會議ACM CHI最佳論文提名獎。近5年主持主要項目7項,包括福建省閩江學者獎勵計劃項目、國家自然科學基金面上項目、福建省青年拔尖創(chuàng)新人才項目、福建省自然科學基金杰青項目、國家自然科學基金青年科學基金項目、福建省自然科學基金面上項目和福州大學科研啟動項目各1項。
